Black Boy

He was a black boy

And they pegged him for a thug

Your typical black boy

They could tell from his dirty mug

So before he could run

They pulled out their guns

Cause they saw a criminal where there was none

For he was a black boy

And so then the black boy

They colored him black and blue

They beat up the black boy

But hey their lives matter too

They did him a favor

Instead of hard labor

Now the sweet relief of death he can savor

Cause he was a black boy

But then the black boy

Was conscious despite their blows

And then the bleeding black boy

Was so threatening I suppose

That they made the right call

And though you’re appalled

I assure you his race didn’t factor at all

Though he was a black boy

Yes he was a black boy

The victim of circumstance

That poor little black boy

They never gave him a chance

No matter what’s said

The reason he’s dead

The reason a bullet tore straight through his head

Is that he was a black boy

Yes he was a black boy
